Simple Woman's Daybook

For Today...June 22

Outside my window...

Large piles of elm tree branches that were cut down from our trees.

I am thinking...

that I am in need of change that will inspire me

I am thankful...

that the fall that I took wasn't too severe and I only need pain pills to recover
I am wearing...

A pink bed gown
I am creating...
Mizrach cross stitch by Barbara Ann Richter

I am going...

to bed

I am wondering...

if I should stay in this town
I am reading...

Angel by Laura Powers

I am hoping...

my prayers and visions will come true
I am learning...

that family isn't what it's cracked up to be
In my garden...

even after the flood, my cantaloupes, tomatoes and herbs are doing well.

In my kitchen...

Cacoa/Orange Juice
2 green apples
1C spinach
1 med beet
2 oranges
1/4Cup cacao chips
1-2 carrots
1/4Cup water(opt)

In a juicer, juice the ingredients. Add water only if you want the juice thinned for taste. Be cautious when adding chips for they may kick back out. Remove orange peel before juicing.

A favorite quote for today...
'Those things  of real worth in life are worth going to any length in love and respect to safeguard'

A peek into one of my days...

I get up and sit in my darkened living room and meditate. I can feel the sun rise through the curtain. I then make my breakfast smoothie and tend to my garden.
One of my favorite things...

  1. Glad the fall wasn't serious. And that's great that your herbs survived Mother Nature.

  2. Actually I was shocked since for days you couldn't see the top of most of my plants. I had to transplant some into pots to save them. I'm afraid the fall was more serious than I, or anyone else thought. Going on hiatus until my pain decreases and I can get a appointment with with an eye specialist (since vision is quite blurry).
