It's All in the Cards

I am going to make a concentrated effort to get my Simple Woman's blog out on Mondays so I can follow up with my and Tuesday Oracle blog. I am so busy on Mondays that I forget it is Mondays and that will be equally so when college begins in August!

Anyhow, here is my angel Oracle. You can get your own free oracle reading at http://www.angeltherapy.com/card-result/situation-concern/  at the Doreen Virtue site.

This week I found this reading very ironic since it completely coincides with the reading that appears on an app that appears on my cell phone.

                                           Healthy Lifestyle

Archangel Raphael: “Eat a healthful diet, get adequate sleep, and exercise regularly for optimal health.”
Additional Message: “You are co-creating your health by following your inner guidance about lifestyle habits. I give you inner nudges to improve the way you eat, or to exercise or rest more often. My prodding isn’t to nag you or rob you of pleasure. Rather, my urgings are in response to your prayers for higher energy levels, increased well-being, weight loss, and a happier mood. When you take excellent care of your body, your outlook and self-esteem naturally blossom.”
Working with Archangel Raphael: Raphael is Heaven’s physician, and he prescribes preventive and curative medicine in the form of Divine intervention and guidance. In the former, he swoops into the situation and surrounds it with his emerald-green healing light and love—and the situation is instantly healed. But in the latter (which is actually more common), Raphael will give you intuition and hunches showing how you can help with the healing.

Archangel Zadkiel: “Soften your heart with respect to this situation, and all the people involved, including yourself.”
Additional Message: “I can help you forgive yourself and others, or to compassionately see everyone’s point of view. You needn’t change your stance or behavior. It simply means approaching the situation with a loving heart, which empowers you and allows creative solutions to pour forth.”
Working with Archangel Zadkiel: Zadkiel’s name means “Righteousness of God,” and he helps us release unforgiveness toward ourselves and others. Ask him to come into your dreams and act like a chimney sweep, clearing away any emotional toxins from your heart. He’ll ensure that everyone’s needs are met, and that emotional healings occur in miraculous ways.
                                       Beloved One

Archangel Chamuel: “I’m helping you with your spiritual soulmate relationship.”

Additional Message: “Love is in and around you right now. You don’t need to search for it. Rather, by holding loving thoughts and conducting loving actions, you attract and manifest love in all aspects of your life. Call upon me to guide your thoughts and actions, to bring romance into your life. Converse with me regularly about your love life. I can help you fall in love with your life, and heal and manifest wonderful relationships.”

Working with Archangel Chamuel: Chamuel’s aura is pale green, like a springtime leaf in the morning sunlight. You can feel close to Chamuel’s loving energy by wearing or carrying a green fluorite crystal.

Archangel Azrael: “I’m with you in your time of need, helping your heart to heal.”
Additional Message: “Even the strongest person experiences upsetting situations, and there’s no shame in taking time to heal your heart. This is a good time for quiet reflection upon your true feelings. Write them down in a private journal, and then call upon me to bring comfort to your heart and mind. I can help you sleep better at night, and put your mind at ease.”

Working with Archangel Azrael: Azrael’s aura is a beautiful shade of vanilla cream: a very pale yellow tone. He surrounds grieving and dying persons with this loving light to bring them comfort. When Azrael is around, you may see eggshell-colored twinkling lights in the room. The crystal, creamy yellow calcite is calibrated to Azrael’s energy, so holding or wearing this crystal may lend additional comfort.

Archangel Gabriel: “As you nurture a child, you nurture your own inner child. Both activities are important for you right now.”
Additional Message: “One reason why it’s important for you to help children is because you’re also helping your own inner child in the process. You’re teaching what you need to learn, so pay particular attention to the messages you deliver to children and their parents. Know that those messages are for you as well. Take time to play, laugh, and to be silly and carefree. Nurture your inner child with as much love and attention as possible.”

Working with Archangel Gabriel: Gabriel works with mothers and children during all phases of conception, childbirth, adoption, and parenting. She helps grown-up children as well. If your heart longs for some play time, call upon Gabriel to make all of the arrangements. She’ll guide you along as you nurture your inner child. If you ask her, Gabriel will also assist with your own parenting desires and needs.

I've been asked, more than once, about my religious affliation since I have spoken about both tarot and Angel oracles in the same blog.   Personally I don't think it works that way.

I don't believe that the ancient Tarot card, which was initially used for a card game should be attached to the religion of Paganism.  Some say that the cards go back to Ancient Egypt but I don't believe anybody truly knows. The divination side of the cards was documented somewhere in 1735. Since it was used by fortune tellers for its descriptive images and also by practitioners of the time.

Oracle cards were possibly (thier orgins are unknown as well) created in the early 1700s but were popularized in Paris by Madame Lenormand in 1777 where she became the favorite fortune teller of nobility.

The story goes that she read Napolean's cards and told him that he would divorce his wife Josephine. He was so afraid that word would leak out that he had Mademe Lenormand imprisoned until after the legalities were complete!

Through the generations both cards have been connected to religions while, in all actuality and reason, they truly have nothing to do with it. Experience tells one that it is the person or the group that labels a simple stack of colored papered cards as being connected to one religion or another.

If you believe in angels, reason tells you that you would be more inclined to the Law-of=Attraction/New Age lightness of the Oracles while others may be inclined to either the darkness or just the very long history of the infamous Tarot.

It all gets down to reason and experience. Me? I'm a 60s chick myself who believes 'whatever floats your boat'.

As the line from one of my favorite films goes....

"If there's a steady paycheck in it, I'll believe anything you say!"

And so it goes even in the fortune of the cards.
